christmas pudding disaster?
I made a christmas pudding a month ago and its been sitting in my cupboard. I just opened the lid to have a look at it and saw a little bit of mold. can it be saved if i just cut that little patch off or is it unsafe? what can I make as a fast ulternative?
cut off the piece and then prick holes in it with a toothpick an pour 2
tablespoons of brandy over it. cover in an airtight container till required. if you receipe did not call for brandy that was your problem. cause brandy sorts of preserves it. or next time once its baked do the above with the brandy but instead of only once do it 2x per week of 2weeks and it will last until xmas. i made my xmas cake 2months ago and did the brandy trick and its as firm and moist as if it was bake yesterday. so goodluck
